At Élevage Cataraqui, we follow organic farming principles. Our animals do not receive growth hormones or medicated feed. They graze our pastures on a rotational basis in the summer and eat good quality hay along with grain, as needed.

Custom boxes

We are always happy to create custom boxes for customers looking for something special (like a beef and lamb mix or a selection of gourmet cuts). Let us know what you would like and we’ll be happy to oblige.** All weights are approximate

The meat is processed and aged in a provincially-inspected abattoir, vacuumed sealed and flash frozen

Breeding Stock

Highland heifers and cows are available for sale.

We are currently taking reservations for Icelandic and Border Leicester ewe lambs and rams. A limited number of Cashmere doelings and bucklings will also be available.
The lambs and kids we offer for sale as breeding stock are performance tested and among the top 20% of our herd. We do not sell any breeding stock that we would not keep for ourselves.

Icelandic wool (available in black, different shades of gray, brown and white) Traditional Lopi style (blend of outercoat and undercoat, excellent for outdoors-type sweaters)
