Ridgebacks

Our Rhodesian Ridgebacks are our pride and joy. They keep everything in check at the farm, be it visitors or wild animals. Our faithful companions are also champion show and working dogs. Their bloodlines are varied and encompass the best of North America, Europe and Africa.

Indy

Indy is an outstanding daughter of Tinga and Erik the Red. Bold and bright, she is blessed with an excellent conformation, fabulous movement and an equally outstanding temperament. As a one-year-old, she became the number 1 Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch in Canada and no 2 in the breed. By her second birthday, she became an American Champion. But as much as she enjoys the excitement of dog shows, she is happiest on the farm, running through the woods with her mama Tinga and her Ridgeback friends or hanging out with Lexie and the goats.

Thomba

Thomba is a very promising young male out of our 2008 Tinga and Erik the Red litter. Thomba is a hunter and loves nothing more than to patrol the farm along with Indy, his partner in crime. He is a people magnet and quite the charmer. With his stunning head, excellent proportions and substance, great shoulders and rear angles, not to mention his floating movement, fabulous ridge and exceptionally sweet and outgoing temperament, this dog has a bright future as a show dog and will be an asset to any breeding programme. Kianga

As her African name implies, Kianga brings sunshine everywhere she goes. This happy-go-lucky-girl lives on a farm near Papineauville, Quebec, and is the star of her family. Besides being adored by children, her favorite pastimes are joining her owners on long horseback rides and playing with her great Shih Tzu friend and numerous other canine friends in the neighborhood. Kianga is a substantial girl with a gorgeous head, big expressive eyes that melt your heart and a beautiful front. She is a deep African red colour with black points and gets noticed everywhere she goes. Kianga is shown sparingly but always receives praise from judges when she enters the show ring. Kianga is a littermate to Indy and Thomba.

Memphis

Memphis is the king of Élevage Cataraqui. Laid back and loving, he will do whatever is asked of him. We like to refer to him as an "old-fashioned" ridgeback. Tinga

Tinga was imported from South Africa in 2005. She is a stunning bitch with an incredible desire to please. She is very feminine and sweet, yet agile and instinctive. She is a great tracking dog and loves nothing better than to have a job. Tinga has proven to be an invaluable brood bitch and is the dam of the very accomplished Indy.

Naya

Naya is the "original ridgie", the one who showed us what a wonderful breed Ridgebacks are and who got us hooked on them. She is a classy girl, the Katharine Hepburn of the Ridgeback world, yet she is probably our best watchdog and the perfect combination of beauty and brains.

Storm

Storm is the "jock" of the pack. She has extraordinary stamina and strength, and it is nearly impossible to tire her out. Storm can be a real clown at times and sure knows how to make us laugh. She is also an excellent farm dog who can keep bears away and watch over the sheep and goats.

Lexie

This girl is not a Ridgeback but an Akbash dog who looks after our flocks. She is a livestock protection dog who lives with the sheep and goats and protects them from predators. Raised with the flocks from birth, she considers them to be her pack and never wants to be away from them.
